It is important to hold dressings securely in place so using the right tape is vital. Care Shop offer a range of different tapes. Both the Blenderm Surgical Tape and the Transpore Surgical Tape are transparent and are water resistant which will offer greater protection to wounds by providing a waterproof barrier around the edges of the dressing.
Care Shop also stock the Microfoam brand of tape. This is latex free and made from elastic foam. This makes it particularly suitable for securing dressings in more difficult areas as the tape will adapt to the contours of the body.
For situations which require a tape with greater strength, Care Shop stocks the Kool Park brand of zinc oxide tape. There are also micro porous tapes available. All the different brands and types of tape are available in different widths which range from 1.25cm up to a width of 10cm.
